Chapter 4<- Link A story of a friend...by a friend... The unknown number pulled every single nerve out of Mridul’s body or was he just just over reacting at that point of time, no one could have told.  ‘Who can it be at this point of time?’ thought Mridul before picking up the phone. “Hello! May I know who is there on the line” he asked. “Hey! It’s me Malvika” a known voice came from the other side. “Oh hi! Malvika, I am honored on hearing your voice” the tone was sarcastic and he was more interested in his parents conversation. “Why are you so rude? Anyway give me Parth’s mobile number” the vexation could be noticed in her voice. Without any salutation Mridul cut the phone and sent her Parth’s number. ‘Why the heck she needs his number now, when everything is over’ he thought, though his eyes were fixed to his parents conversation and he was watching it from the edge of the semi closed room's door. He felt helpless and decided to go back

Chapter 3<-Link A Story of a friend..by a Friend... “Mridul where are you yaar! We are in canteen come fast” It was Prateek on the line. “Oh! Prateek… I am stuck in some work will take some time” stammered Mridul and cut the phone. He was busy flirting with Kanishka near the stair case. She was the girl he dreamt off ever since they met on the first day of college. A perfectly shaped body with ample amount of fat on the perfect places, she can ooze out air from anybody’s lung and can make one skip multiple heart beats at one go. The body fragrance was one better than rose and her dressing style could make even the hotshots envy of her.   “Hey Hi…hmmm Kanishka…right?” said Mridul deliberately. “Ya you are absolutely right Mr.CR” teased Kanishka. “I am really sorry…actually I have a short hand when it comes to girls, and when the girl is so beautiful I just…” He was interrupted by Kanishka. “Ya ya I know, I have listened this line multiple times durin

Socially...I am dead!

The morning was cold and the quilt was warm enough to keep me wrapped inside like a new born baby. Let the debate begin The phone was the only perpetrator which could have harassed my dreams. On a normal day I would not have picked any call but somewhere I thought it might be for an interview call which I was expecting lately. My eyes were still closed knowing the fact that sun won’t miss a single chance to assault my pupils. I picked up the call. To my dismay, it was a friend of mine asking to attend the college so that I could be one of the panel to  judge an intra-college debate competition to select a team for University Fest. I was still lazy but I have always loved such competitions; debate being my favourite. I readily agreed for the proceedings. ******** “The topic is Social media’s effect is dying down in Youth” announced the organizer proudly, who himself was a participant and was eager to start. ‘May be he believed in first mover’s advantage’ I thou

Chapter 2<-Link A Story of a Friend..by a Friend “Mamma I am home, really tired…taking a short nap” said Mridul and went straight to his bedroom. “ B eta! Khaana tyaar hai …have it na” yelled his mother from kitchen, telling Mridul that food was ready. Mridul was already inside his room. Hours passed and he didn’t come out of his room. “I don’t know why he is behaving like this, he is spoiling home’s atmosphere” said his mother with lots of concern and anger at same time. “Why are you complaining this to me, how would I know what has happened to him? He never shares anything with me.” argued his father, while changing the channel of television. “It’s of no use to talk to you and him, you both are screwing up my life” asserted his mother and went to fetch a glass of water for Mr. Gupta. Mridul was listening to the conversation of his parents, when suddenly his mobile phone rang... *Chapter 4 coming up

Chapter 1 <-Link A story of a friend by a friend.... "Hi guys! This is Mridul Gupta” he introduced himself with a smile. Though the introduction was very brief; it was enough to tell what he was like with that smile on his face and gleaming eyes. Engineering colleges have always lacked such "confidence" as he thought, and when its government college, this could be as rarest as Pluto getting accreditation as ninth planet by Earthlings. He had developed this image way before he joined the college. Government versus Private College; which one was better he was yet to decide.  Within no time Mridul became part of each personalized group of class.  Few girls were behind him or he thought so, but he was clear about his life goals and his ‘personal’ interests. The fire in his eyes never went unnoticed by anyone; an average student and a no player in his school time, has changed himself no bounds. The change was nice, he was nominated as the CR and he took

A Story of a Friend By a Friend.... “Bhai ! You scored 80 percent” Prateek came roaring and waving a piece of paper held high. Usually high on spirit Mridul just, finished his last bite of chapatti and put his lunch box in his bag. Prateek pulled his hand out from the bag and shoved that piece of paper in Mridul’s hand that he was carrying; thinking Mridul would jump and hug him. Getting marks in an Engineering College was just like the amount of gold you get after a huge investment. Mridul stood up but without showing any ecstasy and left the class room. Prateek stood watching him till he vanished in the swarm. The sudden change in Mridul was not that sudden as others thought, but it was differently surprising for his friends. He had changed a lot. Usually chirpy and heartthrob of friends has become silent altogether. “What have happened to him?” Parth exclaimed seeing the strange behavior of his once the dearest friend. “I don’t know, sometime I get really p
